With great pleasure, Cycling SA can announce that Adelaide’s favourite coffee shop, KOM Coffee, has signed on as a CycloSportif sponsor for the upcoming second series.

KOM Coffee, the cycling themed café on Anzac Highway, is every bike riders dream. Over the last two years, KOM (Kings of the Mountains) Coffee has quickly gained a reputation as one of the best post or pre-ride coffee destinations in the state. With Colombian coffee, empanadas, tropical juices and delicious breakfast options, there is something for everyone.

As a CycloSportif sponsor, KOM Coffee will once again be providing great prizes for each round.

Cycling SA’s CEO Lachlan Ambrose described the relationship with KOM coffee as a “perfect partnership for the Sportif. The Sportif embodies this as there are opportunities for all levels of riders to be involved. We are really thrilled to have KOM onboard again for Series Two of the Sportif.”

The CycloSportif is a four round series which runs twice a year. Series Two, starting late August, will have fantastic new locations and exciting new sponsors, but the same great format.

ROUND 4 WILLIAMSTOWN WRAPS UP THE 2018 SERIES ONE OF THE CYCLOSPORTIF!

Sunny conditions greeted the riders for Round Four of the 2018 CycloSportif. Hosted by Central Districts Cycling Club, the Whispering Wall course proved a hit. The course, for the most part, featured rolling hills, but it’s most notable feature is the steep 1km climb halfway around the course. Riders chose whether they would tackle the course 2,3 or 4 times.

Although mainly about bragging rights than anything else; All the Gear and No Idea took home the KOM Coffee prize for the fastest lap of the day. KOM is a cycling themed café on Anzac Highway, which makes them the perfect café to stop at on your way to or from the bay. In the battle of the women’s team, it was an all Skinny Lattes affair. The aptly named Espressos took out the category. The fastest mixed team for the day was Megabike.

As it’s not all about winning – the other teams were treated to goodies from Cycling Australia’s nutrition partner SIS and Australian made and owned bike and body care company Pedalit.

Cycling South Australia would like to thank all those who took part in the series. We’d also like to acknowledge the support of the clubs and the time they’ve invested in making the series happen!

2018 Series Two is scheduled to start in late August – with full details to be announced over the coming month!
